About Swing4Life
Inspired by Legacy. Driven by Purpose
The Legacy Of Steel Arm Tyler
Swing4Life was founded on the legacy of William "Steel Arm" Tyler, a Negro National League picture known for his powerful arm and dedication to the game. Born in Evansville, Indiana in 1905, Tyler played professionally during the 1920's and became recognized for his strength, discipline, and perseverance. His career included times with historic teams such as the Memphis Red Sox, Chicago American Giants, Kansas City Monarchs, and Detroit Stars. Today, Swing4Life continues that Legacy by empowering youth, supporting seniors, and building stronger generational connections within our community.
